Are you feeling overwhelmed? Do you feel alone, not knowing what to do next?  Are your loved ones noticing a difference in your behaviour, or mood? Whatever it is, lets talk about it.

Hello! My name is Cherysse, a compassionate and warm psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in social work. With a deep passion for working with teens and young adults, I am committed to supporting individuals through their unique journeys toward healing and personal growth.

I bring a wealth of experience, both personally and professionally. I acknowledge that we are all human, growing and learning. I am keen on addressing the diverse needs of my clients, offering a safe and inclusive space where every voice is heard and valued. My trauma-informed approach recognizes the profound impact of systemic issues, and I integrate this understanding into my practice, particularly acknowledging the unique challenges faced by Black women and other marginalized communities.

Specializing in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy, I utilize evidence-based techniques to foster resilience and empower my clients. I am a great listener, attuned to the nuances of communication, and skilled at connecting with what is not being explicitly said. My approach is centered on being present and fully engaged in each session, ensuring that my clients feel supported and understood. My posture will always be non-judgemental and kind.

I understand the complexities of personal growth and am deeply compassionate about the challenges and triumphs that come with it. My goal is to provide a nurturing environment where individuals can explore their experiences, develop self-compassion, and cultivate meaningful change in their lives.

I love a really good book. In my spare time you will find me reading or journaling on my swing in my back yard. I enjoy going for long walks while listening to “something.” depending on my mood at the time. On occasion I will take out my headset to hear the bird’s chirp. Spending time with my family and friends brings me so much joy, and I am always on the hunt for a great restaurant.

Fun fact! I can be very funny!
