Haniah Khalid, MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist

Coming to therapy can be a very overwhelming and difficult decision, but it does not have to be. It is important to find a therapist that makes you feel connected and comfortable throughout the process.

Are you looking for acceptance and compassion with a therapist? You’ll find a warm and welcoming space where you can express yourself and feel supported. We'll work closely to develop a treatment plan that speaks to your individual therapeutic goals and needs.

When I work with you, I use multiple approaches to develop a personalized treatment plan. I’ll address how you function at work, school, home and in social environments. Your well-rounded recovery plan will set you up for success.

We will work together towards challenging your negative thinking patterns. You’ll learn how to engage in opposite actions to tackle the tasks you feel like avoiding. In the process, you will confront your fears. Little by little, you’ll engage more socially, build purpose, heal, and work towards recovery.

I have expertise in working with teens and young adults (16-25) struggling with transitions in school, social environments or transitioning into adulthood. Alongside working with young people, I have a passion for supporting people of all ages.

You’ll find support with

●  Life transitions

●  Relationship challenges

●  Self esteem

●  Generalized anxiety

●  Social anxiety

●  Depression

●  Stress/Burnout

●  Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

●  Mood disorders

After working together, you might feel more connected to yourself. When you get a handle on your emotions, you might see your grades go up, feel confident about yourself in social situations, or feel more energized to take on your priorities.

Some modalities I’ll work from are

●  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

●  Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

●  Exposure and Response Prevention (CBT ERP for OCD)

●  Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

●  Motivational Interviewing (MI)

●  Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)

●  Mindfulness Based Therapy

●  Solution Focused Therapy

Seeing you transform into your strongest self is why I love being a therapist. I’m excited to be a part of your ongoing journey of recovery and healing.
